The RECODE-DCM PSP is an international collaboration between the University of Cambridge, AOSpine and the James Lind Alliance (JLA).
JLA is a non-profit priority-setting initiative that brings together people with a medical condition, their supporters and healthcare professionals to identify the top 10 unanswered questions in areas of health research. JLA are interested in evaluating their current methodology. To assist with this, we have created word clouds of the top unanswered questions in DCM following consultation with a group of people with DCM. The size of the words in each cloud relates to its popularity, as voted by a group of people with DCM. We want to evaluate whether these word clouds help to generated additional representative research questions.
Half of the participants of RECODE-DCM will be shown the word clouds after having first completed their own suggestions on the previous page. The other half of the participants will not be shown the word clouds and will proceed directly to the next step.
You have been chosen at random to view the word clouds. Please view the word clouds below. If the word clouds lead you to think of additional DCM questions which you did not enter on the previous page, please add to the answer boxes below. You can click back to check what you entered on the previous page if you cannot remember all of your responses.
The data generated from this step will be analysed separately to the main RECODE-DCM analysis. This will enable us to assess the impact the word clouds have had on your responses and whether they have improved the efficiency of the overall process. The results of this extra step will not be used to define DCM research priorities but will be important to help improve future JLA priority setting partnerships in other conditions.
